For the Stuffing
Boiled Potatoes - 2 medium
Boiled green peas - 1 cup
Cumin powder - 1 tsp
Green chili, finely chopped - 2 medium
Coriander leaves, chopped - 2 tbsp
Chat Masala - 1 -2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - deep frying.
For outer coating
Boiled potatoes - 4 medium
Bread crumbs as required
Corn flour - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
How to make Aloo Tikki
In a bowl mash potatoes well using a fork. Add boiled peas , red chili,chat masala.
finely chopped chilies, cumin powder, coriander leaves, salt and mix well. Pinch into small balls .
In a bowl, mash potatoes and add bread crumbs, corn flour and salt in it make small balls and flat it to make disk out of it , now put masala balls in it and cover it properly with outer layer .
Heat oil and fry tikkies till crispy golden brown .
For the other ingredients needed for the Chaat
Finely chopped onions
Chopped Coriander leaves
And chatpate chole ( chickpea curry) to accomplish aloo tikki
How to assemble the Aloo Tikki Chaat
In the serving plate, place the aloo tikkis, pour a teaspoon of green chutney, meetha chutney, Sprinkle kala namak, chaat masala, onions, next sprinkle the coriander leaves, finally with Sev.
